Our Missions

Faith in action: The doctors at Corinth Family Medicine and Pediatrics are committed to serving and helping others in North Texas and beyond.

Dr. Dutton

Dr. Dutton first tasted medical missions during a 4 week trip to Kenya in 1998 in which she worked at rural clinics with the Massai people group, 6 hours outside of Nairobi Kenya. Dr. Dutton spent 10 days in the devastation of Haiti 2 weeks after the earthquake hit in January 2010, helping to care for children following amputations and severe orthopedic traumas and returned 3 months later to see both the wonder of healing kids now running around as well as the continued chaos and destruction of the communities following the earthquake. In March of 2012 and 2013 she spent time in Nicaragua in a "dump city" where 300-400 families live in huts made of sticks, large trash bags and cardboard. She is presently meeting with a group planning to minister to a slum in Costa Rica in March of 2019.

Dr. Steelman

Dr. Steelman was introduced to mission work at a very early age growing up in a family with missionary parents living in Malawi, Africa. Her exposure and involvement in the work her parents did greatly affected her desire to be involved in missions even as a teen. While in high school, she had the opportunity to shadow several different missionary doctors as they treated children with either birth defects or severe burn wounds in Kenya, Africa. She spent many weekends playing with the children waiting for surgery or recovering from surgery at the missionary hospital. While in college, she was able to work alongside a missionary surgeon in the same country she grew up in during a summer break. During this time, she saw how lack of any kind of medical care severely limits and restricts people. During her medical school training, she took a spring break medical mission trip to Honduras treating hundreds of adults and children per day. Currently, she is staying closer to home and volunteers with a free clinic once a month, but she is looking forward to the day she can go on another overseas medical mission trip.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
